Selection Process- After tryouts, the entire coaching staff will convene to review the tryout evaluations and make team selections. Each coach will contribute their perspective on which players will be kept and which will be cut. This process is thorough and time-consuming, as many factors are considered. We evaluate players based on their volleyball skill level, game knowledge, attitude both on and off the court, positivity towards teammates, and coachability.
Cutting Process:
- Freshman: At the end of practice on the 19th, each player will receive a letter informing them whether they made the team or not. Please note that these letters should not be opened until they have left Skyview Property
-10th-12th grade: On the 19th, players will meet with the coaching staff individually during practice to learn if they made the team. Regardless of the outcome, players must leave the gym immediately after their meeting.
